Guidance, mentoring, scholarships, sport and culture — and the exodus of young people towards N’Djamena or abroad, which follows from poverty and a lack of openings rather than from any lack of attachment to home. Update, 29 September 2026: the theme, until now “Youth & Achievement”, takes the name of what it carries: education — primary and secondary school, vocational training and the advocacy briefs that concern them — and youth. Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment

Women’s empowerment, income-generating groups, leadership training, and an effective presence of women in the association’s own governing bodies. The theme also carries the fight against gender-based violence: domestic violence, forced marriage, imposed levirate and abusive widowhood rites, harassment at school. Chad passed an ordinance in 2025 that punishes these acts heavily — up to ten years’ imprisonment for a forced marriage — and almost no one knows it exists: making it known is already an action.

Health and Nutrition

Prevention campaigns, liaison with health centres, the fight against alcohol abuse — adulterated alcohol above all — and hygiene and sanitation. The theme rests on a published health advocacy brief, tracked indicator by indicator: a maternity unit working day and night with a qualified midwife, a reliable cold chain for childhood vaccination, a basic laboratory to diagnose malaria, typhoid and tuberculosis, an ambulance and an evacuation protocol. Targets 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 rest on that brief, not on a mere intention. Update, 29 September 2026: the theme widens to nutrition — screening young children for malnutrition, feeding pregnant and breastfeeding women, links with the health centres and with the Agriculture, Livestock and Food Security theme.

Protection and Social Inclusion

A mutual-aid fund for bereavement and illness, emergency support, and particular attention to widows and people with disabilities. With Livelihoods and Financial Inclusion, this is the association’s anti-poverty theme — not as a slogan, but as a safety net where a death, an illness or a failed harvest tips a whole family over. Update, 29 September 2026: the theme widens to child protection — birth registration, children out of school, early marriage, in line with the association’s safeguarding policy; emergency aid in the event of a disaster or an epidemic moves to theme 20, Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergencies.

Sport, Culture and Recreation

The sport, music, dance, theatre and festivities that bring Bédjondo and its neighbourhoods to life: pitches and youth teams, troupes and artists, places where every generation meets. The theme starts by listing what exists — clubs, associations, pitches, halls, festivals — before proposing anything. Created on 1 October 2026; nothing is committed yet.

Preparing the Bedjond country for crises rather than suffering them: rainy-season floods, epidemics, drought, bush fires, displaced families. Ideas under consideration: mapping flood-prone areas with the villages, a simple contingency plan per canton, an alert network over WhatsApp and community radio, and, when a crisis hits, informing, guiding and recording needs for the State services, the Chad Red Cross and humanitarian agencies rather than duplicating them. Created on 29 September 2026; nothing is committed yet, and no money is collected before the association has an account in its name.
