The executive board adopted the procedure below the same day: candidacies from 2 October to 15 October 2026, vote on 22 October 2026. The application form is in French; you can also write to us in English.

Rules
How the
vote works.
The seven rules adopted by the executive board on 1 October 2026.
| Point | Rule | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Who may stand | Any member of the association, or anyone who has filed a declaration of membership, in Chad or in the diaspora. A person stands for one vice-presidency only. | The 1995 statutes are not published; if they set another condition, it would apply. |
| Holding two roles | A person coordinates one theme only (decision 6). An elected person who already coordinates a theme keeps it until the board has reviewed overlapping roles with them. | |
| Who votes | The college of officers: members of the executive board, the pillar vice-presidents in office and the lead coordinators of the themes and units — twenty-two distinct people on 1 October 2026. The next general assembly confirms those elected. | Why not all members: the membership list and the dues scale have not yet been adopted (decision 2026-16). |
| Quorum | At least half of the college, present or remote. Without a quorum, a second meeting is held seven days later with no quorum required. | |
| Voting | In a meeting, in person and remotely (video call), by show of hands; by secret ballot if a member of the college asks. A remote secret vote is cast by individual message to the two tellers, who report only the count. | Tellers are not candidates; the secretary-general keeps the minutes and the attendance list. |
| Majority | Absolute majority of votes cast in the first round; relative majority in the second. Single candidate: vote for or against, absolute majority. With no candidate, the call reopens for fourteen days. | |
| Term of office | Until the next ordinary general assembly, which confirms the person elected or holds a new election. | The final length of the term depends on the statutes and the assembly. |
Who runs it
- The president of the association chairs the voting meeting; if he stands, the vice-president of the association takes his place.
- The board appoints two tellers from among the members of the college who are not candidates.
- The secretary-general keeps the minutes and the attendance list.
- No personal data of a candidate is published without their consent: only their name, pillar and statement.
